Therefore, the 3 Zinnen AG has decided with a lot of courage to set the sails anew and to use the missing piece of the puzzle in the ski area 3 Zinnen Dolomites: the Helmjet Sexten.
The Monte Elmo Sesto cable car was first put into operation in 1981. Back then, it was the most modern of its kind. For nearly 40 years, it carried skiers, hikers, and families to the top of Monte Elmo every day until everything changed in 2020. In a year marked by changes and reforms, the 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski resort is undergoing its own renovations: the dated cable car is being replaced by the new detachable premium 10-seater Hlemjet Sexten gondola lift.
Helmjet Sexten is a passion project: we have all been waiting for it for many years. In a way, it is the jewel in the crown of the 3 Zinnen Dolomites sports and mountain destination. The last piece in the jigsaw puzzle of investments we made over the course of the past years. We are giving our main entrance in Sesto a massive upgrade. The state of the art facilities will offer our guests much greater comfort while reducing the rush and waiting times of the old system. Personally I cannot wait to sit in the new Symphony premium gondola for the first time and take the views of the Sesto Sundial – Mark Winkler Managing Director of 3 Zinnen AG.
Just six years ago, in 2014, the 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski resort consisted of mere 50 kilometers of slopes on two mountains. Today 3 Zinnen AG has turned the ski area into a little gem. The company itself has expanded into a resort in its own right too: its assets include five connected skiing mountains, 115 km of slopes, 31 modern cable cars and lifts, five owner runs restaurants, ski and bike rental services and Punka Service Center which is one of the most advanced service facilities in the Alps.
Travel Advisor Is looking forward to ski again next season in 3 Zinnen. It is one of the most preferable ski resorts in the southern Alps.
