To fly Qantas ordered eight Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners for flight of this distance. The airline is planing to put the jet into service on routes from Melbourne to San Francisco, Brisbane to Los Angeles and as a connecting flight from Los Angeles to New York JFK.

Is the experience like for passengers on board the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for more than 17 hours? VIPs from Qantas, politicians and members of the media enjoyed the luxuries of business class or premium economy, other passengers endured 17 hours in the cheap seats.

Boeing Dreamliners offer a higher cabin pressure, closer to that found at ground level, and more humid air than that found on most other planes. This helps passengers feel less dehydrated and tired after long flights.
