Giro d’Italia 2022: Find out what’s new!<\/strong><\/h2>\n

After an excellent performance of Giro d’Italia in Slovenia this year, when the cyclists raced around Gori\u0161ka Brda with the finish in Nova Gorica, the popular race returns to Slovenia also in 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The organizers of\u00a0the 105th edition of Giro\u00a0d’Italia<\/strong>\u00a0announced the stages of the next\u00a0race and made an extensive presentation at a press conference on 11 November in Verona. In 2022,\u00a0the 19th stage, taking place on Friday, 27 May, will take cyclists to Slovenia<\/strong>. The start of the stage will be in the town of Marano Lagunare, after 100 km the route will lead to\u00a0So\u010da Valley<\/strong>\u00a0and leave Slovenia after a 10\u00a0km ascent to Kolovrat, with an average of almost 10% incline.\u00a0The total length of the stage is 178 km and\u00a0an altitude of 3230 metres.<\/p>\n

Everything starts in Budapest<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The 105th edition of Giro\u00a0d’Italia\u00a0will begin\u00a0on Friday, May 7<\/strong>, in Budapest.<\/strong> Hungary hosts the first three stages, followed by a move to Sicily. From there, the cyclists will continue their journey along the Apennine Peninsula to the north, first to the Alps in western Italy, and then move east and visit Slovenia. The day after the Slovenian stage, the last mountain stage with the planned finish at the Fedaia pass (Marmolada) will follow, and on Sunday ta final chronometer with the finish in Verona.<\/p>\n

The Giro attracts around\u00a0800 million viewers from across the globe<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0provides an excellent opportunity for promoting Slovenia and increase visibility.<\/p>\n
