Roda dles Saus:<\/strong> An entire week dedicated to Ladin cuisine and culture<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

For a whole week, from 12th to 19th March, local cuisine and Ladin dishes will be the stars on the slopes of the La Crusc\/Santa Croce Skitour, at the foot of the Santa Croce massif. <\/b>The opening event, with traditional music and show-cooking on the terraces of the participating mountain huts, will take place on Sunday, 12th March.<\/b><\/h4>\n

The Roda dles Saus<\/strong>, an entire week dedicated to Ladin cuisine and culture in the Skitour La Crusc\/Santa Croce ski area, returns again this winter. Skiing from mountain hut to mountain hut, from 12th to 19th March, you will be able to savour the dishes of the local cuisine, simple but genuine, that originate in the heart of the Dolomites a UNESCO World Heritage Site, paired with the best wines of South Tyrol.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each of the five participating refuges specialises in preparing a dish, cooked according to traditional recipes. Each hut is paired with a local producer and its local product of excellence, which will form the basis of the proposed dish.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The \u00dctia Nagler hut offers “Potato gnocchi with goat’s cheese” from the farm L\u00fc de Corcela and cress’, while at the \u00dctia L’Tam\u00e1 hut, you can sample “Crafuns Mori: typical pancakes with forest honey” from beekeeper Milio Terza. “Burnt wheat pappardelle with beef ragout from Maso L\u00fcch da Ciampidel farm” is the dish proposed by the \u00dctia La Crusc – Santa Croce refuge. At the \u00dctia L\u00e9 mountain hut, on the other hand, you can enjoy “Pressed grey cheese dumplings with capucci salad”. The grey cheese is produced at Maso Chi Pr\u00e1 farm. To finish, the “Local venison goulash soup” is offered at the Ranch da Andr\u00e9 refuge. This is the only refuge that can only be reached on foot and not by ski or ski lift.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On Sunday, 12th March, the opening event of the week will take place, with dishes presented in an outdoor show-cooking on the terraces of the mountain huts. Traditional music at all participating huts will surround the event, which will start at 11.30 am.<\/span><\/p>\n

Authentic scenery and genuine, typical dishes. Sun kissed slopes welcome tourists on this food safari, surrounded by breathtaking views, set amongst a sprawling valley covered with forests and Ladin mountain huts. Tourists should also take some time to visit Badia\u2019s Parish Church, the birthplace of Saint Freinademetz and the traditional “viles”, the mountain farmsteads of Fuss\u00e9, Coz and Pransarores, and finish at the suggestive small church of Santa Croce, resting at the feet of the Santa Croce mountain. A perfect family excursion: the Skitour La Crusc\/Santa Croce, easily reached on skis from Piz La Villa.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Sommelier on the Slope event aims to further enhance and promote the best wines in South Tyrol. The last events of the season are scheduled for 7th and 14th February, 7th March, 21st March (special edition) and 4th April. The initiative includes fabulous skiing on the slopes of Alta Badia, combined with the tasting of some of South Tyrol’s finest wines at two huts. Participants will be accompanied by a ski instructor and a South Tyrolean sommelier. To take part in Sommelier on the Slope at a cost of \u20ac40 (\u20ac80 for the special edition), it is necessary to book at the tourist offices in Alta Badia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wine SKISAFARI: A wine tasting 2.000 metres above sea level<\/b><\/h4>\n

On Sunday 26<\/span>th<\/span> March 2023, Alta Badia will be bringing South Tyrol\u2019s finest wines to the mountains for an exclusive tasting session, set to take place from 10 am until 3.30 pm in the Piz Arlara, \u00dctia de Bioch, I Tabl\u00e1 and Pralongi\u00e1 mountain huts. The aim of the initiative is to round off the winter season in style, dedicated to excellent food and wine. The tickets that include the tasting of all the wines can be purchased at the participant mountain huts at a price of \u20ac35.00. The event is organised by Alta Badia Brand, together with IDM (Innovation Development Marketing), and with the support of the South Tyrol Wine <\/span>Consortium.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The SKICAROUSEL Vintage Party: The Winter season in Alta Badia ends in retro style on 9th and 10th April\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n

In Alta Badia you can ski until 11th April 2023. The days are longer and sunny. The snow is perfect and gives ski enthusiasts unforgettable descents on the resort’s slopes.<\/span><\/p>\n

To close the 2022\/23 winter season on a festive note, Alta Badia is planning an original retro-style event. On Sunday 9th (Easter) and Monday 10th April (Easter Monday), the atmosphere of a ski resort from several decades ago will be recreated both in the valley and on the ski slopes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to the collaboration with the various mountain huts, which will be presenting traditional local dishes on their menus from Sunday 9th April, an atmosphere of skiing from bygone days will be created at 2.000 m. The refuges will choose the vintage period they prefer, giving the venue a congruous atmosphere both in the setting and in the choice of music. Sunday evening will continue in the villages in the valley.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On Easter Monday, however, skiers will compete in a vintage ski race at the La Para slope, where one of the last ski lifts is still in operation. Anyone can take part in the obstacle race, provided that the skis used are not carving, but old skis. Registration can be done directly on site, on the day of the race.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants will be asked to wear retro ski clothing and equipment throughout the whole weekend with the aim of creating a ‘vintage’ ambience throughout the ski resort.\u00a0<\/span>The event is a collaboration between Alta Badia Brand and the Skicarosello Consortium.<\/span><\/p>\n
