Messner Mountain Museum is not only about the most famous mountaineer and alpinist. He is also a good storyteller. One of the museum halls constantly replays his documentaries from alpinist expeditions undertaken all over the world.<\/p>\n

The Messner Mountain Museum <\/strong>is located at the very top of the renowned ski resort Plan de Corones\/Kronplatz, at an altitude of 2,275<\/strong>. Dedicated to mountaineering and alpinism, the history of climbing and climbing equipment, it offers unique views of the Alps and the Dolomites<\/strong> through unusual openings.<\/p>\n

The one and only Zaha Hadid<\/h3>\n

\"Messner<\/p>\n

Zaha Haddid<\/strong>\u00a0has left behind another architectural wonder, minimally intruding upon the landscape, and yet spectacular in its interior<\/strong>. The views resemble framed images of the Alpine peaks, from Marmolada in the south to Hintertux and Zillertal in the north.
\nOf course, all of this is also visible from the summit of Kronplatz, but images thus framed <\/strong>leave a different impression.<\/p>\n

\nMMM Corones was opened in 2015<\/strong>, and represents the 6th Messner Mountain Museum<\/strong>. Zaha Hadid combined the Ladin word for crown, Corones<\/strong>, with Alpine crowns and the successes of the most famous alpinist of the South Tyrol<\/strong> and beyond.
\nHighly recommended for all who want to experience something different and memorable, because this museum is simply unforgettable.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ski Area<\/h3>\n

\"Kronplatz\"<\/p>\n

The Kronplatz region in South Tyrol\/S\u00fcdtirol \u2013 the northernmost region of Italy – comprises a unique, astonishingly varied landscape mixture.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It extends from the western part of the Pustertal valley through the Antholzertal valley and the Gsieser Tal valley, and it reaches to the south as far as the Gadertal valley.<\/p>\n

The Kronplatz ski area offers a total of more than 100 km of always-prepared ski slopes<\/strong>. 31 modern ski lifts lead on three sides to the wide, slightly sloping rounded top of this panoramic mountain that is almost treeless. Thanks to the large transport capacity of more than 63,900 people per hour, the lifts in this area are very rarely filled, which is why there is almost no waiting. State-of-the-art compact snow machines and powerful track devices guarantee an army of approx. 300 workers for always optimal conditions on ski slopes.<\/p>\n
