River is calm, barely flowing. <strong>Water lilies cover the river banks,<\/strong> dragonflies zipping by, while the European pond turtle rest on the plants. But, water shines on hundred spectacular waterfalls, often divided on several terraces.<\/p>\n<p><strong>People have always embraced Mre\u017enica<\/strong>, attracted by its energy, building water mills on the edges of the waterfalls, without disrupting the nature. Swimmers and nature lovers who can\u2019t resist the charm of the river are main visitors today.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;\"><strong>Mreznica is a river in Gorski Kotar region, west from Zagreb in direction of Adriatic Sea.
