Island Of Vis is unique place to visit<\/h1>\n

Among literally thousands of islands in\u00a0Croatia<\/strong>, everyone will discover the one they like\u00a0the most. The\u00a0island<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0Vis<\/strong>\u00a0is definitely one of my favourite. Not many people know that\u00a0it was\u00a0the perfect setting for\u00a0the famous\u00a0Mamma Mia 2\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0musical starring\u00a0Meryl Streep<\/strong>,\u00a0Pierce Brosnan<\/strong>,\u00a0Colin Firth<\/strong>,\u00a0Amanda Seyfried<\/strong>,\u00a0Cher<\/strong>,\u00a0Andy Garcia<\/strong>\u00a0and many more famous artists. This was my second visit to the island and it made me love it even more. These are the reasons why.<\/p>\n

Vis \u2013\u00a0where\u00a0time\u00a0passes slowly<\/h3>\n

Vis is the one of the furthest inhabited islands of the Croatian mainland. The best way to reach the island is by ferry or fast boat\u00a0from Split<\/strong>. According to the latest population census,the island has 3,4 k inhabitants and it was isolated for more than 50 years due to the fact that it was a military base. So for a long time the island wasn\u2019t open for tourists. Its falling behind in tourism was perceived as a disadvantage but it actually turned out to be a positive thing, at least in my opinion.\u00a0Vis<\/strong>preserved its\u00a0authenticity<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0spirit<\/strong>,\u00a0nature<\/strong>,\u00a0slower pace of life<\/strong>\u00a0and its\u00a0charm<\/strong>. All those things make Vis the perfect place to relax and \u2018disconnect\u2019 from the busy city life.<\/p>\n

When you\u2019re in Vis you feel like the time is passing slowly, you don\u2019t have to rush to do anything, you just have to unwind, let go and enjoy.<\/h2>\n

Perfect Mamma Mia\u00a02 setting<\/h3>\n

I visited the island with my friends, the Instagrammers \u017deljka and Domagoj, at the end of July. That\u2019s the high season in\u00a0Croatia<\/strong>\u00a0but there were just enough people on the island\u00a0that it didn\u2019t feel overcrowded at all. Our task was to explore the locations where the musical Mamma Mia 2 was filmed. That\u2019s right \u2013 it was filmed in Croatia, although the story actually happens in Greece\u00a0\"?\"\u00a0Our first stop\u00a0was a charming little fishing town of\u00a0Komi\u017ea<\/strong>, where we immediately\u00a0realized why this was the perfect movie set.\u00a0 Komi\u017ea is situated at the bottom of the\u00a0Hum<\/strong>\u00a0hill and it\u2019s surrounded by beautiful\u00a0pebble beaches<\/strong>. Besides fishing and tourism, it is known also for\u00a0wine making<\/strong>. Traditional fishermen boats in the harbor, called\u00a0Falku\u0161a,\u00a0<\/strong>definitely create a unique scenery. These vessels were designed especially for the long expeditions at the open sea. Komi\u017ea is considered a cradle of fishing in the\u00a0Adriatic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
