ENJOY HOLIDAYS IN WINTER\u2019S HOME<\/p>\n

\nWinter in the Hochk\u00f6nig region is not a question of \u201ceither-or\u201d, but rather one of \u201cboth-
\nand\u201d. Skiers and snowboarders love the expanse of wide, perfectly prepared pistes,
\nwhether making their first turns on a practice slope or rising to the athletic challenges
\nof the Marlies Schild training piste. Just a few metres away, cross-country skiers are
\nunderway with the Hochk\u00f6nig massif as their magnificent backdrop and with 40 km of
\nprofessionally prepared cross-country ski trails to enjoy. In Maria Alm, the night
\ncross-country ski trail is a highlight, and on the high altitude trails in M\u00fchlbach and on
\nthe Dienten saddle you can glide across the snow a step closer to heaven. There is
\nalso great pleasure to be had by winter guests in the Hochk\u00f6nig region tobogganing,
\nwinter hiking, ski touring, or fat biking. The fresh powder and glistening untouched
\ndeep snow slopes are pure delight to freeriders, and the fun factor is ever present
\nwith the 1.8 km long Blue Tomato Kings Park in M\u00fchlbach, one of the longest parks
\nin Austria, and a 850 m fun slope too.<\/p>\n

OPEN FROM WINTER 2019\/20: THE NEW GAB\u00dcHEL LIFT<\/p>\n

\"Hochk\u00f6nig
\nModern ski lifts transport wintersports enthusiasts comfortably and safely to the
\npeaks of their emotions in the Hochk\u00f6nig region. There are 33 lifts and 120 km of
\nfabulous pistes awaiting guests in the Hochk\u00f6nig region. These enable skiing
\nbetween the areas of Maria Alm, Dienten and M\u00fchlbach, with all 3 resorts joined
\nseamlessly together. With several runs into the valley in the different resorts, there
\nare numerous places where you can access the ski area. From winter 2019\/20, the
\nnew Gab\u00fchel lift adds even more convenience and comfort.<\/p>\n

After a construction period of 2 years, the modern 10-seater gondola lift is now
\ncomplete and ready to transport winter sports enthusiasts up the Gab\u00fchel mountain
\nin Dienten in just 5 minutes 42 seconds. This makes access to the Hochk\u00f6nig nature
\nexperience even quicker, quieter, and more convenient. After a long day\u2019s skiing or if
\nlegs are a bit tired, skiers and snowboarders can take the relaxed option of the new
\ngondola lift to get back down to the bottom of the valley.
\nTHE K\u00d6NIGSTOUR: 35KM OF TRULY MAJESTIC PISTES
\n6 peaks, 35 km of linked pistes, and 7500 vertical metres. These are the basic facts
\nabout the K\u00f6nigstour, a tour that has been recognised as the best ski route in the
\nAlps by the world\u2019s largest test portal. However, there is much more behind these
\nnumbers themselves: amazing panoramas to take your breath away, perfectly
\nprepared pistes for limitless skiing pleasure. There are Alpine huts dotted along
\nbeautiful pistes, romantic and interpreted in a modern way, inviting guests to take a
\nbreak. And unique Alpine views everywhere of the majestic Hochk\u00f6nig massif and

\nregion have fun and safety as their main priorities when teaching children how to
\nmake their first turns. Children under the age of 6 years can ski for free, or can be
\nlooked after in the guest kindergarten from the age of 2. The ski lifts in the Hochk\u00f6nig
\nregion have special Schneewutzel entrances to make access easier for children. The
\nSchneewutzel diversions come as a welcome relief for children, offering alternative
\nroutes on more difficult pistes, and enabling them to enjoy their adventures in the
\nsnow safely and free of fear. Older children are brave enough to tackle the
\nSch\u00f6nanger Funslope on the Aberg mountain with, amongst other features, little
\njumps, a wave slope, and a snow tunnel to explore.<\/p>\n
