Skiing and swimming on the same day

Molltaler Gletscher Flattach

Skiing and swimming on the same day is not easily achievable due to the distance between the ski slopes in the mountainous areas and the sea coast. However, it is possible during late spring and early summer when high-altitude ski resorts on Austrian glaciers such as Mölltaler and Kaprun are still open. The distance to the sea near Venice, such as Grado, Piran in Slovenia, or Umag in Croatia, is not so great that skiing and swimming on the same day would be impossible. You could ski in the morning and then go swimming in the afternoon.
