News from Méribel

After an uncommon 2020-2021 winter season with closed ski-lifts, but with French guests and a vast range of activities (snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, pony-sledging…) Méribel is preparing winter 2021-2022 season!

They are eager to welcome people from all over the world in Méribel as winter season will take place this year! They are putting everything in place  to receive all of you in the best conditions!

General information related to COVID

ON THE SLOPES:​

  • NO sanitary pass  = health pass (vaccination certifacate, proof of a negative RT-PCR or antigen test less than 72 hours, a document attesting to recovery from Covid-19) while using ski-lifts.
  • BUT: if France reach more than 200 positive cases for 100 000 inhabitants a sanitary pass will be required.
  • The use of face masks is obligatory in the lines, gondolas and chairlifts.

IN THE RESORT:

  • Sanitary pass is compulsory from 12 years old: in a restaurant, in a bar, in a night club, in a spa; during a concert or a sport event.
  • NO sanitary pass: in a hotel (even for a breakfast), in a food store, in a ski rental shop.
  • The use of face masks is obligatory: in a shuttle and indoor (Tourism Board, shops, etc).

  • Opened 7/7
  • In Méribel-Mottaret & Méribel center (more detailed information will be communicated later on their website).
  • MASKS & BUFFS (normes UNS1 for both) in the colours of Méribel will be on sale during the season.

Perched on the heights of Belvédère close to Rond-Point des Pistes, Le Coucou is one of the loveliest sites in Méribel, next to the slopes. The hotel rubs shoulders with the snow-capped summits and overlooks the entire valley. It contains 55 rooms, including 39 suites, 2 private chalets, directly accessible ski-in ski-out slopes, two restaurants, one spa, one baby club and one teen club, one indoor and one outdoor pool…

5* P&V L’Hevana Residence

L’Hévana is in the heart of Méribel. The newly finished apartments are equipped with the best equipment and all apartments have a balcony or terrace. 17 “exceptional” apartments have a sauna and a fireplace. New restaurants 

Maya Altitude

This new restaurant,  is part of the Maya Collection. With its capacity of 400 diners, Himalayan-inspired decoration and a 360° panorama of Mont Blanc and the Belleville valley, it already promises to be an exceptional venue. The host, Christophe Hulot, offers “bistronomic” cuisine and meat cooked to perfection in a charcoal wood oven.

Lilie

Chef Sylvain Chardonnnet had a grandmother, Lilie, and in this restaurant he continues her tradition of homemade cooking. The decor is warm, with old wood, black metal and cement tiles. Snacks from 7€, mais courses from 22€, pizzas from 15.50€. And the delicatessen shop makes you want to take it all home with you.

New in the ski area

Olympe gondola

This gondola connects the resorts of Brides-les-Bains and Méribel with a stop at les Allues and le Raffort areas.

The previous cabins have been replaced by taller ones which hold 6 people, and which are now accessed without steps.

Bouquetin chairlift

A 6-seat high-speed chairlift (open to non-skiers) has replaced the Plattières 3 gondola lift. This whisks you to the slopes of Saint-Martin and Les Menuires in just two and a half minutes you want to take it all home with you.

Roc de Fer tunnel

A new 8.50m wide, 5m high and 50m long tunnel has replaced the old Roc de Fer tunnel. This improves skier flow in the area, and avoids having to make a detour around the competition piste during events.

There is no better way to propose a destination when you know everything about this destination! Méribel Tourism Board invites you to participate in a Famtrip. Stay in Méribel and feel yourself as a VIP guest!

Coming to Méribel you’ll learn more about Méribel’s accommodation, about the 3 Valleys ski area and about the variety of après-ski activities and restaurants in Méribel!

They are ready to receive groups of no more than 8 px and to organize a minimum two days stay including visits of accommodation, activities and meals. You may come in January, March or April (out of French holidays periods).
