I have stayed at two hotels from the Tanadewa group and am excited to share my impressions.
Tanadewa Luxury Villas & Spa Nusa Dua
Location
The villas are just a twenty-minute taxi ride from Ngurah Rai International Airport. They are close to popular attractions like the Bali Collection shopping center, Nusa Dua beaches, and several world-famous golf courses. Although not located by the sea, each villa’s private pools compensate for the desire to swim. It takes about ten minutes to drive to the beach, with Nusa Dua and Jimbaran beaches being the largest and most popular.
Accommodations
The villas are two-story. One floor houses a bedroom and a large bathroom, while the lower level features an open-plan living area with a kitchen and pool. The area is enclosed, ensuring complete privacy. The kitchen includes a coffee machine and a fully stocked refrigerator.
Amenities
The resort offers a massage and spa salon that provides various traditional Balinese treatments and modern wellness therapies. A well-equipped fitness center is available for guests to maintain their routine during their stay. The staff is very helpful and professional. The breakfast area has a small terrace with a sea view. The à la carte menu is very rich, and the food prepared is at the level of a five-star hotel. They have their vehicles with drivers who provide transfers for guests upon request.
Tanadewa Resort & Spa, Ubud
In the heart of Ubud, where the vibrant greens of the forest speak of ancient secrets and the air is filled with the fragrance of blooming flowers, every moment at Tanadewa Resort & Spa becomes a dance with nature. The infinity pool seems to edge into the sky, and the floating breakfast on its tranquil surface feels like a scene from a dream, captured forever in the heart.
Location
Located in the cultural heart of Bali, a ten-minute drive from Ubud, the resort is surrounded by lush tropical forest. Vegetation in all shades of green and numerous flowers provide a perfect backdrop for a pleasant stay. It is close to popular attractions like the Monkey Forest, Ubud Palace, and various art galleries and temples.
Accommodations
The resort offers a mix of suites and villas, designed with a combination of modern luxury and traditional Balinese architecture. Many accommodations have private balconies or terraces with stunning views of the surrounding nature. The villas have private pools and gardens surrounded by dense greenery, ensuring the privacy of their guests. The hotel is situated on a slope, so rooms have views of the lush nature and river. The infinity pool is located at the edge, giving the impression that the jungle grows from the edge. A unique feature is the floating breakfast, which Instagrammers love.
Amenities
Next to the pool is Tanadewa Spa, which offers holistic and wellness programs, including traditional Balinese healing techniques. Yoga and meditation classes are organized in a special covered terrace area in nature, allowing guests to connect with themselves in a peaceful setting.
Experience
The stay experience is very positive. Check-in was quick and efficient. The staff is very friendly and ready to respond to every request. The restaurant overlooks the jungle and river. The food for breakfast and dinner is à la carte, with traditional dishes and international cuisine available.
I had excellent Eggs Benedict for breakfast and fantastic crispy duck with rice and optional spicy sauces for dinner. I hope to return and have more time because this hotel is one you don’t want to leave as you need to enjoy every part of the garden, pool, and offerings.
Conclusion
The tranquil atmosphere and lush natural surroundings contribute to the resort’s reputation as a rejuvenating retreat. The combination of these two luxurious resorts is ideal for a stay in Bali. This way, the time spent in the car on excursions is reduced. Some places are closer to Nusa Dua, and some to Ubud, so it is good to split the stay between two or more destinations.
I can only praise Tanadewa hotels. On this trip, I stayed in six hotels, some of which were part of well-known global chains, but I will remember and recommend my stay in these two. Returning to Tanadewa is not just a desire but a longing to be enveloped once more by the harmony of luxury and nature, where every stay is a chapter in a beautiful, unfolding story.
