Sommeliers on the slopes
The 2017-18 winter season includes for the third time the event which aims to highlight and teach us all about the best South Tyrolean wines. Roda dles Saus: mountain huts, ancient recepies and genuine food
The 5th edition of the Roda dles Saus, the ski safari devoted to the Ladin cuisine and culture, will be held in the ski carousel of Santa Croce in Alta Badia. For a whole week, from Sunday 11 March until 18 March, skiers can taste the different dishes which originated in the heart of the Dolomites, paired with the best South Tyrolean wines, skiing from mountain hut to hut.
Tourists should also take some time to visit Badia’s Parish Church, the birthplace of Saint Freinademetz and the traditional ‘viles’, the mountain farmsteads of Fussé, Coz and Pransarores, and finish at the suggestive small church of Santa Croce, resting at the feet of the Santa Croce mountain.
Local specialties paired with a South Tyrolean wine shall be served at several mountain huts. Authentic scenery and genuine, typical dishes. Sun kissed slopes welcome tourists on this food safari, surrounded by breathtaking views, set amongst a sprawling valley covered with forests and Ladin mountain huts.
